Online manicure bookings when every week is different
On 6 November 2026 I read Booksy's help on shifts and Slotsy's help on the week schedule. I wanted to check one thing: what a nail technician can do when their hours differ every week — kids, a second job, renting a station on certain days — and who today posts free slots in Instagram stories. The "Week schedule" in Slotsy was built for exactly this: the help lists manicure, brows, lashes and private classes as examples.
Short answer. In Slotsy you set working hours for specific dates in "Week schedule": each day can have several ranges, and the client sees only those hours and picks a start where the whole service fits. You copy a week with one button, and "How far ahead clients can book" limits bookings to 1–12 weeks. The Free plan costs 0 zł for one person with no booking limit. Booksy also lets you change shifts for specific days and copy a week, for 145 zł net per month.
Set up this week in 15 minutes: the Free plan costs 0 zł for one person, needs no card and works next to what you use now.
When a fixed schedule does not work
A fixed weekly schedule repeats endlessly. When every week is different, you have two options: either the booking page shows hours when you do not work, or you type free slots into stories by hand. Slotsy has a separate tool for this.
| How you work | What to set |
|---|---|
| Same hours every week | Company working hours — they repeat endlessly |
| Different every week | Week schedule — hours for specific dates |
| Usually the same, sometimes different | The fixed schedule, and the changed week in Week schedule |
Days you do not touch keep the fixed schedule; the label under the date then reads "weekly schedule". More on fixed hours: help: company hours.
How to set up a week
Result: the client sees on the booking page exactly the hours entered for this week and books on their own. Steps:
- Open Schedules → Week schedule (someone without owner rights sees My week schedule).
- In For choose Whole studio, a specific person or a service.
- Use the arrows to pick the week.
- For each day enter hours "from–to". If a day has a break, you add another range.
- Mark a day without work as Day off.
- Click Save week · N working days.
After saving you see "Saved. The booking page already shows these hours." Full steps: help: week schedule.
What hours the client sees
The client sees every start where the service ends before the end of the range, with the step set in the studio. Examples from the help:
| Day hours | Service | Starts on the booking page |
|---|---|---|
| 09:00–11:30, 14:00–20:00 | 2 h | 09:00, 09:30, 14:00 … 18:00 |
| 08:30–11:30 | 1.5 h | 08:30 … 10:00 |
A service set to One after another has starts every own duration: for 90 minutes in the 08:30–11:30 range that is 08:30 and 10:00, with no gaps between clients. Taken time disappears from the page by itself. If you agree a visit outside Slotsy, for example in a direct message, add it to the calendar — otherwise that time stays free. More on available times: help: time slots.
Copying a week
You do not have to enter everything from scratch. Copy last week takes last week and you change only what differs. Copy to next week saves the current week and opens the next one with the same hours; then you click save.
In service mode there is also Copy all services to next week. It copies only the days changed in that week. A service whose copy would remove hours with existing bookings is not copied, and Slotsy names it.
Separate hours for a service
In For you can choose a service. Clients then book it only in its hours, and other services stay unchanged. Example from the help: nail extensions in the morning, manicure in the afternoon. Service hours must fall inside studio hours. How to add and set up a service: help: service management.
How far ahead
A fixed schedule is open without end. If you plan week by week, limit bookings: Settings → Booking Rules → How far ahead clients can book, from 1 to 12 weeks. The limit works on the booking page, in the widget, in the Schedule tab and when a client reschedules. You in the admin can book further.
Result: clients book at most as many weeks ahead as you set.
When you change hours and bookings already exist
If the new hours fall on a day with bookings, Slotsy shows the window "N bookings are in this time". You choose Save and keep the bookings or Cancel N bookings… with a text for clients; clients get an e-mail.
What it looks like in Booksy
I read two Booksy help articles. "How do I edit Shifts for individual Staff Members?": on web or tablet you go to Staff Management & Resources → Shifts, click the pencil in a cell, edit and save; there is a week view. "How do I copy Shifts to other weeks?": the option "applies only to Booksy Biz on web/tablet"; Copy moves one day or a whole week to future dates, for all staff or specific people. For the mobile app the help describes editing "normal working hours".
Several ranges in one day, separate hours for a service and a limit on how far ahead clients can book I did not find in Booksy's help. Booksy costs 145 zł net per month, 35 zł net per additional staff member, with a 7-day trial.
| Slotsy | Booksy | |
|---|---|---|
| Hours for specific dates | yes, Week schedule | yes, Shifts (web/tablet) |
| Copying a week | Copy last week / to next week | Copy: a day or a week to future dates (web/tablet) |

| Booking-ahead limit | 1–12 weeks | not found in the help |

If you already pay for Booksy and have a tablet, you can change weeks there. If you work on your own and rebuild your hours every week, Slotsy gives the same for 0 zł, plus separate hours for services and a booking-ahead limit. Broader price comparison: Ile kosztuje Booksy.
