How Often a Session May Start
Updated September 22, 2026
One setting decides the grid of start times your customers are offered. It lives in Settings → Booking → How often a session may start.
| Choice | Start times offered |
|---|---|
| 15 minutes | 09:00, 09:15, 09:30, 09:45, 10:00 … |
| 30 minutes (default) | 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30 … |
| 60 minutes | 09:00, 10:00, 11:00 … |
To change it:
- Go to Settings → Booking
- Pick an interval under How often a session may start
- Click Save
Where a Session May Begin, Not Where It Must
The interval says where a session is allowed to start — it does not chop your day into fixed blocks and it does not shorten anything.
Say you run 60-minute sessions on a 15-minute grid, and somebody books 09:15. That session runs to 10:15, so nothing between is offered any more:
| Before the booking | 09:00, 09:15, 09:30, 09:45, 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, 10:45, 11:00 |
| Someone books | 09:15 → runs to 10:15 |
| Still on offer | 10:15, 10:30, 10:45, 11:00 |
A finer grid therefore means more ways to fill the gaps around existing bookings, not more bookings per hour.
When the Setting Changes Nothing
The interval only has room to act where your schedule is one continuous block — "open 09:00 to 12:00".
If your day is written as separate hour-long windows (09:00–10:00, 10:00–11:00), each window offers exactly one start for an hour-long service, whatever you set here: a session that would run past the end of its window is not offered at all. To make use of 15-minute starts, draw the morning as a single block in Company Hours.
Tip: This setting had no field in the panel before September 2026, so every studio was on 30 minutes whether it wanted to be or not. If your day is one block and you want quarter-past starts, this is the switch.
What Else Filters the Times
The grid is the starting point; a time is offered only if it also survives these:
- It falls inside your company hours — and the whole session fits before closing
- It is at least 30 minutes from now (nobody can be at the studio in ten minutes)
- The staff member is not on time off
- Nothing already booked overlaps it — or, for a group class, places remain
The Panel Sees the Same Grid
When you move a booking from the calendar, the Reschedule dialog offers the same times the customer would see. If you need something off the grid, that dialog still lets you type a time by hand.
