What Booksy really costs in 2026: subscription, Boost, payment fees — and an honest comparison with Slotsy

In Poland, Booksy is the default: run a salon and clients ask "are you on Booksy?". The default has a price, and that price has four parts, of which the pricing page shows one. Below are all four, three worked examples and a comparison with Slotsy — including where the comparison goes against us.

All prices were checked on 26 September 2026 on the official pages: biz.booksy.com/pl-pl/cennik and stripe.com/pl/pricing. Euro rate: 4.375 zł (NBP, 25 Sept 2026).

Short answer. Booksy Biz is 145 zł net per month (178.35 zł with VAT) plus 35 zł net for every additional staff member up to the ninth. On top come two variables: 1.89% + 0.49 zł on every online payment and 45% of the first visit of every client who arrived through Boost. A one-person salon with 4,000 zł of online turnover pays about 274 zł a month without Boost; a three-person team with 12,500 zł online pays about 562 zł. In Slotsy the same one-person salon pays 184 zł and the three-person one 577 zł: the subscription is lower at every team size (Start up to 5 people for €29, Team up to 10 for €69), while payment fees are about a złoty per transaction higher with us. Which comes out cheaper is decided by the share of online payments and by Boost. Details and a formula for your own numbers below.

What a Booksy bill is made of

The Booksy Biz price list has one price on top and three underneath.

Four things that are easy to miss:

  1. Net. Every subscription figure excludes VAT. If you are not VAT-registered, 145 zł means 178.35 zł to you.
  2. Per staff member, not per salon. A team of five is 145 + 4 × 35 = 285 zł net, which is 350.55 zł gross.
  3. Boost is charged on the whole first visit. A client arrives through Boost for a 300 zł colour — Booksy takes 135 zł net. Her later visits carry no commission, but you give away almost half of the first one.
  4. Payment fees are a percentage plus a fixed amount. On a 60 zł service the fixed 0.49 zł is another 0.8%; you pay 2.7% on such a transaction in total.

Three salons, three bills

Assumptions: average ticket 100 zł, clients pay online by BLIK, no Boost (counted separately below). On the Slotsy side: the subscription in euro at the NBP rate, our online-payment fee by plan, and Stripe's BLIK fee in Poland (1.6% + 1 zł), which the salon pays from its own Stripe account.

How to read the table:

  • On subscription, Slotsy wins at every team size. One person: 0 zł or 127 zł instead of 178 zł. Two to five people: 127 zł (Start) instead of 221–351 zł. Six to ten: 302 zł (Team) instead of 394–566 zł. Beyond that: 433 zł (Business, up to 20) instead of 566 zł.
  • On payment fees, Booksy wins. 1.89% + 0.49 zł is less than Stripe's 1.6% + 1 zł plus our 0.3–2%. On a 100 zł ticket the difference is about 1 zł per transaction; at 125 payments a month, about 130 zł. That is why, with half the turnover online, the two bills come out almost level, fifteen złoty one way or the other.
  • The smaller the share of online payments, the more clearly Slotsy wins — only the subscription difference remains. And the other way round: switch on Boost and Booksy stops being a subscription and becomes a sales channel with a 45% commission.

Boost: the one line that can outgrow the subscription

Boost is how Booksy shows your salon to new clients in the app. There is no monthly fee; there is 45% net of the first visit of every new client who came that way.

New Boost clients per monthAverage first visitBoost commission
3150 zł202.50 zł net
5150 zł337.50 zł net
10200 zł900.00 zł net

Five new clients a month is more than the whole subscription of a three-person salon. Is that a lot? It depends on how many come back. If half stay for a year, 337 zł for five regulars is cheap advertising. If they come once for a promotion and vanish, you have given away 45% for nothing. Booksy will not keep that statistic for you; it is worth keeping yourself.

Slotsy has no equivalent of Boost. Clients find a salon in the city catalogue (Kraków, for instance) with no acquisition commission, and what Slotsy earns is a percentage of the payment by plan, shown on the pricing page. In fairness: the Slotsy catalogue is younger and smaller than the Booksy marketplace, so today it brings fewer clients. It also does not cost 45% of their first visit.

What the price list does not say, and what matters

  • The Booksy marketplace is real value. Millions of app users in Poland are clients you would otherwise have to buy with advertising. If your salon lives on new clients, that is an argument for Booksy — provided you count Boost.
  • Booksy Pay is free for 12 months. After a year it returns to the price list. When signing, ask what rate applies after the promotional period.
  • Payments in Slotsy go to your own Stripe account. The client's money reaches you directly, not through an intermediary; Slotsy takes only its percentage at the moment of payment. Refunds you issue yourself, from your own balance. That is freedom and responsibility at once.
  • Leaving. The Slotsy Free plan has no expiry and needs no card. It is worth checking the Booksy contract for the notice period and for what happens to the profile and the reviews after you leave.
  • The Slotsy fee is not returned on a refund. If you refund a client, our percentage of that payment stays. It is written in the Terms so it is not a surprise.

A formula for your own numbers

Take last month's figures: online turnover O, number of online payments N, staff P, new Boost clients B and their average first visit W.

Booksy: (145 + 35 × (P − 1)) × 1.23 + 0.0189 × O + 0.49 × N + 0.45 × B × W

Slotsy: plan subscription + plan fee × O + 0.016 × O + 1 × N

Slotsy plan subscription and fee: Free 0 zł and 2% (1 person); Start €29 (≈127 zł) and 1% (up to 5 people); Team €69 (≈302 zł) and 0.5% (up to 10); Business €99 (≈433 zł) and 0.3% (up to 20). Plans differ only in the number of people and locations — the features are the same, on Free too.

If you would rather not do it by hand: write to us with those five numbers and we will send the bill back both ways.

When Booksy, and when Slotsy

Booksy makes sense when almost all of the salon's turnover goes through online payments in small amounts and the new clients from the app actually come back — then the cheaper payment fee and the marketplace can balance the higher subscription, provided Boost pays for itself.

Slotsy makes sense in the other cases: the subscription is lower at every team size (0 zł for one person, 127 zł up to five, 302 zł up to ten), the money goes straight to your own Stripe account, passes and digital products carry high tickets in which Stripe's fixed fee disappears into the percentages, and a new client from the catalogue does not cost 45% of their first visit.

Many owners use both: a Booksy profile for new clients from the app, their own Slotsy booking page for regulars — from Instagram, from the Google listing, from a link in a text message. Regulars need not cost a commission.

Frequently asked questions

Is Booksy free? For clients, yes. For the salon, no: 145 zł net per month for one seat, plus the fees described above. Only the 7-day trial is free.

How much is Booksy for a one-person salon? 145 zł net, that is 178.35 zł gross per month, plus 1.89% + 0.49 zł on every online payment and, optionally, Boost.

Is Boost compulsory? No. You switch it on yourself and can switch it off. The 45% commission applies only to the first visit of a client acquired through Boost.

Are Slotsy prices in złoty? Subscriptions are in euro (€0, 29, 69, 99 a month; 17% less when paid yearly). In this article we converted them at the NBP rate of 25 Sept 2026. Payments from your clients you take in złoty, into your own Stripe account.

Why are payments more expensive in Slotsy than in Booksy? Because they have two parts: Stripe's fee (1.6% + 1 zł for BLIK), which Stripe charges everyone, and our fee by plan. On a 100 zł ticket that is about 1 zł more per transaction than Booksy. On a 450 zł pass the gap shrinks to a few złoty, because the fixed fee is spread over a larger amount.

Can I use Booksy and Slotsy at the same time? Yes. It is the most common setup among the salons that come to us: Booksy for new clients from the app, Slotsy for regulars, with no acquisition commission.
