Understanding what each booking status means and how you'll be notified about changes.

Status Types

Your booking can have one of the following statuses:

StatusDescription
ConfirmedYour booking is confirmed and scheduled. You're all set!
Pending ApprovalThe company needs to approve your booking before it's confirmed.
CompletedThe service has been delivered. This is a past booking.
CancelledThe booking was cancelled by you or the company.
No-showYou were marked as not arrived for the appointment.

Confirmed

This is the most common status after booking. It means your appointment is scheduled and the staff member is expecting you. No further action is needed.

Pending

Some companies manually review bookings before confirming. While your booking is pending:

  • You'll receive a notification once it's approved or declined
  • The time slot is temporarily reserved for you
  • You can cancel the booking if you change your mind

Tip: A request the company does not answer within an hour is cancelled automatically and the slot goes back on sale. If yours matters, it is worth phoning them rather than waiting — their contact details are on the booking page.

Completed

After your appointment, the company marks the booking as completed. This status means the service was delivered successfully.

Cancelled

A booking can be cancelled by you or by the company. If the company cancels:

  • You'll be notified by email and/or SMS
  • If you prepaid, the company's refund policy applies

No-show

If you miss your appointment without cancelling, the company may mark it as a no-show. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book with that company in the future.
