Pass activation window
Updated September 19, 2026
A pass bought together with a booking starts from that class. A pass bought on its own — as a gift, or just in advance — has nothing to start from, and can sit unused indefinitely. The activation window puts an end to that.
Where to set it
Settings → Booking → Memberships → Pass activation window
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| No limit | The pass waits as long as it likes. Default |
| 14 / 30 / 60 / 90 / 180 days | How long the pass may wait from the day it was bought |
What happens when the window runs out
The pass starts by itself — from the date it was supposed to be started by. The plan's normal validity period runs from there.
Bought 18.09 · activation window 30 days · plan runs 30 days
18.09 ──────────────── 18.10 ──────────────── 17.11
starts expires
No visit is lost. The customer loses nothing — the clock simply starts on that day.
Why nothing burns. Burning a paid pass means taking money for a service never given. That almost always ends in a bank chargeback, and there is nothing to argue. Starting it closes your obligation without creating that problem.
Who it does not apply to
A pass bought together with a booking starts from that class and is never touched by this rule. The activation window only concerns passes sitting with no booking at all.
What the customer sees
- Before paying — under the buy button: "Start it by 18.10.2026 — book a session before then, or it starts by itself"
- In their account — while the pass has not begun: "Starts with your first visit · activate by 18.10.2026"
Tip: the activation window is not the validity period. The first says when it must start, the second how long there is after it starts.
