Setup Assistant

The Setup Assistant helps you configure your Slotsy account step by step. It includes a questionnaire to personalize your experience, a guided checklist to track progress, CSV data import, and professional setup options.

Questionnaire (3 Steps)

After registration, the questionnaire tailors your onboarding experience.

Step 1: Tell Us About Your Business

Business category — select from visual cards: Beauty & Wellness, Medical & Health, Sports & Fitness, Education, Professional Services, Events, or Other
Company name — enter your business name
Team size — choose: Just me, 2-5, 6-15, or 16+

Step 2: Your Current Setup

How do you take bookings now? — Phone/messengers, Spreadsheet, Another booking system, or Starting from scratch
Which system? — if you selected "Another system", choose your current provider (SimplyBook.me, Fresha, Booksy, Acuity, Other)
Do you have a customer list? — Yes (we will help import) or No
Online payments? — Already accept, Want to start, or Not needed

Step 3: What Matters Most?

Select your priorities from cards: Online booking 24/7, Team schedule management, Online payments, Memberships, Video meetings, Beautiful booking page, or Analytics & reports. Click Complete to finish.

After the questionnaire, you will see a personalized setup plan with a recommended subscription plan and estimated setup time (~15 minutes).

Setup Checklist (9 Steps)

The checklist appears as a sidebar widget and tracks your setup progress with a percentage bar.

Click any step to navigate to the corresponding settings page
Completed steps show a green checkmark
Optional steps (Payments, Booking Page, Test Booking) can be skipped
The progress bar updates in real time as you complete steps

Tip: The sidebar widget stays visible until you complete or dismiss the checklist. You can always return to it from the Dashboard.

Data Migration (CSV Import)

Import your existing customers, services, or staff from a CSV file in 4 steps.

Choose what to import — select Customers, Services, or Staff, then drag and drop your CSV file
Map columns — match your CSV columns to Slotsy fields (auto-detected when possible). Use the dropdown to assign each column or select "Skip this column"
Preview & validate — review a sample of rows. Valid rows show a green checkmark, rows with errors show a red mark. Toggle "Skip rows with errors" to exclude invalid data
Import result — see a summary: how many records were imported and how many were skipped. Download an error report if needed

Tip: Access CSV import any time from the setup checklist or Settings > Import Data.
