Where to put your booking link: Instagram, Google, QR

On 6 October 2026 I set up the Instagram account of Slotsy itself (@slotsy.io) and put the booking-form link in the bio. Two things came up on the spot.

In the web version of Instagram the links cannot be edited: it says "Editing your links is only available on mobile". We added them from the phone: Edit profile → Links.

The profile shows the address itself, not the name I gave the link. My first link carried campaign tags and looked like this: "slotsy.io/uk/services/setup?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=bi…", cut off mid-word. The link title was not visible anywhere on the profile. For the bio I put in a short address.

Short answer. In Slotsy the link is ready under the "Share" button at the top of the admin panel: the whole page, one service or one staff member, each with a QR code. The short whole-page address (slotsy.io/place/your-name) goes into the Instagram bio, the Facebook Page button and Google Business Profile. A service link goes into Stories and messages, because booking opens straight on that service. The QR code goes on the door and the business card. Instagram shows the address itself in the profile, not the link's name (checked 6 October 2026). To see which place brings bookings, add UTM tags in "Share & Promote" and look at the "Analytics" tab.

If you take bookings today through messages, by phone or in a notebook: create a free Slotsy account, open "Share", copy the link and put it in your bio today. 0 zł for one person, no card, and it works alongside whatever you use now.

Three links under one button

The "Share" button is in the top right corner of every admin page; on a phone it is an icon. It gives three options.

Whole page. The page of your studio with every service, staff member and schedule. The address looks like slotsy.io/place/your-name; you set the name (slug) in company settings. For the bio and for buttons on profiles.

Service. Booking opens straight on that service, only the date and time are left. A client who gets this link does not ask whether there is anything on Saturday: they see the free hours themselves.

Staff member. The client sees only the services this person leads, with them already chosen. A regular client lands straight with their own master.

Each option has the link with a Copy button, a QR code to download ("Download PNG" and "Download SVG"), and "Open as a customer", to see the page the way a client sees it. Links to a service or a staff member look like …/place/your-name/book?…, there is no need to build them by hand. Details are in the help article on sharing your booking page.

Instagram

Bio. Put in the short address of the whole page. You add links in the phone app: Edit profile → Links. With one link the profile shows its address, with two it shows the first address and "and 1 more". The link's name does not appear on the profile. After that lesson the Slotsy bio carries the short address slotsy.io/ig. For a salon the shortest is the whole-page address, slotsy.io/place/your-name, with no tags.

Stories. Instagram replaced "swipe up" with a link sticker. In Stories you paste the link to a specific service, for example the one you are talking about right now. The client taps and lands on choosing a date.

Messages. To "do you have anything on Thursday?" you reply with a link to a service or a staff member. The client looks at the free hours alone.

I wrote more about turning Instagram into bookings in clients from Instagram to online booking.

Facebook

You add the action button on a Page following the Facebook help centre (as of 7 October 2026, facebook.com/help/977869848936797):

  1. Log in to Facebook, click your profile photo in the top right and choose See all profiles.
  2. Choose your Page.
  3. Click your Page in the left menu.
  4. Click Options → Add action button (or Edit action button if there is one already).
  5. Select a button and click Next.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen and click Save.

As the address, enter the short link to the whole page. The client taps the button on the Page and lands in your schedule.

Google Business Profile

According to Google's help (as of 7 October 2026, support.google.com/business/answer/6218037): in the Business Profile you choose the booking option, click "Add link", paste the URL and click "Save". Up to 10 links per category are allowed. Paste the short address of the whole page.

Slotsy is not a Reserve with Google partner, so Google shows your own link, not a button built into Google. The client sees it in the profile and taps it.

QR code on paper

Print the code from "Share" at 3×3 cm or larger; that is the minimum for reliable scanning. The PNG is 1024 px, enough for an A5 flyer. SVG scales without quality loss, so use it for a banner.

The whole-page code goes on the door and the mirror. A staff member can have their own code on their business card: the client who scans it sees only their services.

In the "Share & Promote" section, on the "Links & QR" tab, there is a code for every service and every staff member, with PNG downloads.

On your own website the booking widget works in three modes: Inline (embedded in a page section), Popup (opens over the page, for "Book now" buttons) and Floating (a button in the corner). It is one script tag; the instructions are in the help article on the widget.

How to see what works

The "Share & Promote" section has three tabs: "Links & QR", "Social Media" and "Analytics". "Links & QR" holds the UTM Link Builder with the fields Source, Medium and Campaign. Examples: source "instagram" and medium "bio"; source "google" and medium "profile". The "Analytics" tab shows bookings by source and by campaign ("Referral Analytics: By Source / By Campaign") for a week, month, year or a custom period.

Tags make the link longer. From my own case: where the address is shown, as in the bio, use the plain link. Tags are worth it in Stories, posts and ads, where nobody reads the address. Whoever wants to measure the bio has to accept a long address or give up measuring that place.

More about the schedule itself: online schedule in 15 minutes. About a booking form where the client does not create an account: simple online booking without an account.

Frequently asked questions

Which link goes in the Instagram bio? The whole-page Slotsy address, slotsy.io/place/your-name: it is short, and Instagram shows the address itself in the profile, not the link's name (checked on our own account on 6 October 2026).

Can I link straight to one service? Yes: in Slotsy, "Share" → "Service". The client lands on choosing a date for that service.

How do I know which place brings bookings? Add UTM tags in Slotsy: "Share & Promote" → UTM Link Builder. The "Analytics" tab shows bookings by source and campaign for a week, month, year or a custom period.

Do I need my own website? No. The Slotsy booking page is the page. If you have a site, add the Slotsy widget (Inline, Popup or Floating).

What size should a printed QR code be? At least 3×3 cm. The 1024 px PNG from Slotsy is enough for an A5 flyer, SVG for a banner.

Will Google show a "Book" button for Slotsy? Slotsy is not a Reserve with Google partner, so Google shows your own booking link in the profile, not a button built into Google.

Checked 7 October 2026: Instagram on our own account @slotsy.io on 6 October 2026; Facebook and Google according to their help centres (Facebook, Google). If something has changed, write to us.

Start with one place: create a free Slotsy account, copy the link from "Share" and put it in your bio today. 0 zł for one person, no card, and Instagram, a notebook or another system can keep running alongside.
