Stripe Connect
Updated September 26, 2026
Stripe Connect lets you accept card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more — with a one-click setup.
What Is Stripe Connect
Stripe Connect is a platform feature that allows Slotsy to process payments on your behalf. When a customer pays online, the money goes directly to your Stripe account. Slotsy acts as the platform that facilitates the transaction but never holds your funds.
Benefits of Stripe Connect:
- No manual API key entry — one-click authorization
- Funds go directly to your bank account
- Access to Stripe's full dashboard for detailed reporting
- PCI-compliant payment processing handled by Stripe
Setup Process
- Go to Settings > Payment Processors
- Find Stripe and click Connect Stripe
- You are redirected to Stripe's website
- Either create a new Stripe account or sign in to an existing one
- Review the permissions Slotsy is requesting
- Click Authorize
- You are returned to Slotsy with Stripe connected
The entire process takes 2–5 minutes. If you already have a Stripe account, it takes under a minute.
Tip: Stripe may ask you to verify your identity and bank details during onboarding. Complete this step to start receiving payouts.
What Stripe Provides
Once connected, your customers can pay using:
| Payment Method | Availability |
|---|---|
| Credit/Debit Cards | Visa, Mastercard, Amex — worldwide |
| Apple Pay | Customers on Safari / Apple devices |
| Google Pay | Customers on Chrome / Android devices |
| BLIK | Poland |
| Przelewy24 | Poland |
Available methods depend on the customer's country and device. Slotsy automatically shows the relevant options.
Turning Card Payments On and Off
Finishing Stripe verification is what lets you take money; the Card payments switch is what puts a card on your booking page. Once verification completes, it is turned on for you — connecting Stripe is how you asked to be paid by card in the first place.
You will find it on Settings > Payment Processors > Stripe, under the connection status:
| State | What customers see |
|---|---|
| On | "Bank Card" appears alongside any other methods you offer |
| Off | Only pay on site — no online payment option |
Turn it off when you want to keep the Stripe account connected but stop taking card payments for a while — a seasonal closure, a billing dispute, a switch to another processor. Nothing is disconnected and no history is lost; the switch simply stops offering the card.
Tip: Only the company owner can flip this switch. Admins see it but cannot change it.
Disconnecting Stripe removes the option entirely — you do not need to turn the switch off first.
Stripe Dashboard
After connecting, a Stripe Dashboard section appears on your Payments page:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Balance | Current balance in your Stripe account |
| Pending | Payments being processed (typically 2–7 days) |
| Next Payout | Amount and date of the next transfer to your bank |
| Total Fees | Stripe processing fees for the selected period |
Stripe Portal
Click Open Stripe Portal to access your full Stripe account where you can:
- View detailed transaction history
- Download financial reports and tax documents
- Update bank account and payout settings
- Manage disputes and chargebacks
- Configure notification preferences
The portal opens in a new tab. You are automatically authenticated via Stripe Connect.
Payout Schedule
Stripe transfers your earnings to your bank account on a regular schedule:
- Default: automatic payouts on a rolling schedule set by country — in Poland every 3 business days
- Custom: You can change the schedule in the Stripe Portal to weekly or monthly
The first payout of a new account arrives about 7 days after the first payment; after that the country schedule applies (checked against Stripe's documentation on 2026-09-26).
Tip: Check the Stripe Portal to see your exact payout schedule and upcoming transfer dates.
When Stripe Needs Something From You
Stripe reviews accounts continuously. From time to time it asks for more — an identity document, a business detail, proof of an address — and it gives a date by which it needs it. If that date passes, payouts stop first and payments stop after.
You will hear it from us before that happens:
- An email to the company owner with what is being asked for and the date
- A banner on your Dashboard and on Payments, which stays until it is done
| What the banner says | What it means |
|---|---|
| Amber — your payment provider needs something | Payments still work. There is a date; act before it |
| Red — your payment account is restricted | Customers cannot pay online right now |
Where to fix it depends on whose Stripe account it is. If you connected an account you already had, the documents go to Stripe directly and only you can submit them — the banner links you to your Stripe dashboard, and we say plainly that we cannot do it for you. If Slotsy created the account for you, the banner carries you back into the details form.
Tip: The wording of what Stripe wants is shown exactly as Stripe writes it, so it matches what you see in your Stripe dashboard and in Stripe's own emails. If it reads like jargon, the notice at the top of your Stripe dashboard explains it in full.
We check every connected account once a day, so a notification that never reached us cannot leave you unaware.
Fees and Pricing
Stripe charges a per-transaction fee. Standard rates:
| Region | Fee |
|---|---|
| Europe (EEA cards) | 1.5% + 0.25 EUR |
| Non-EEA cards | 3.25% + 0.25 EUR |
| BLIK | 1.5% |
| Przelewy24 | 2% + 0.80 PLN |
Exact fees depend on your Stripe account agreement and country. Check the Stripe Portal for your specific rates.
Disconnecting Stripe
If you need to disconnect Stripe:
- Go to Settings > Payment Processors
- Click Disconnect Stripe
- Confirm the action
After disconnecting:
- New online payments via Stripe will no longer be accepted
- Pending payouts will still be processed by Stripe
- Your payment history in Slotsy is preserved
- You can reconnect at any time
Tip: If you are switching to a different processor, connect the new one first, verify it works, and then disconnect Stripe.
