Edit Booking, Notes & Activity Log
Updated March 2, 2026
Manage your bookings more efficiently with inline editing, structured notes, activity history, and quick rebook.
Edit Booking
You can change the service, staff member, or time of an existing booking — as long as it's in Pending, Pending Payment, or Confirmed status.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Service | Change the booked service (duration recalculates automatically) |
| Staff | Reassign to a different staff member |
| Time | Move to a new date/time (conflict detection applies) |
Tip: If the new time conflicts with another booking for the same staff, you'll see a 409 error with details.
Completed, cancelled, and no-show bookings cannot be edited.
Staff & Customer Notes
Add structured notes to any booking, regardless of status:
| Note Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Staff Note | Internal notes visible only to staff (e.g., "VIP client") |
| Customer Note | Notes about customer preferences or requests |
Notes can be up to 1,000 characters each and can be cleared by sending null.
Activity Log
Every action on a booking is recorded automatically:
- Created — booking was created
- Confirmed — booking was confirmed
- Edited — service, staff, or time was changed
- Rescheduled — time was moved
- Cancelled — booking was cancelled (with reason)
- Notes Updated — staff or customer notes changed
- Completed / No-Show — final status set
Each entry shows who performed the action (admin, customer, or system) and when.
Quick Rebook
Quickly create a new booking based on a completed or cancelled one:
- Open the original booking
- Click Rebook
- Choose a new date/time
- Optionally change staff or service
- The new booking copies customer and other details from the original
Tip: Only
