Subscription

Updated September 19, 2026

View your current plan, compare features, upgrade or downgrade, and manage billing through the Stripe customer portal.

Current Plan Overview

  1. Go to Account > Subscription
  2. Your current plan is displayed at the top with:
    • Plan name (Free, Start, Team, or Business)
    • Billing period (monthly or annual)
    • Next billing date
    • Current usage (bookings, staff members, services)

Plan Features Comparison

The paid plans include the same features — online payments, calendar, widget, reports, integrations, API, analytics, digital products, page design. They differ only in size and support level.

Free keeps everything else: online payments, the booking widget, reminders, integrations, memberships, reports and API access.

Annual billing costs ten months instead of twelve — about 17% off (€24.17 / €57.50 / €82.50 per month).

Each card on Account > Subscription > Plans lists the same limits, so you can see exactly what changes between plans before you switch.

Plan details and pricing are also available on the Slotsy website.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Account > Subscription
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select the plan you want
  4. You'll be redirected to the Stripe checkout page
  5. Enter payment details and confirm

Your upgrade takes effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated difference for the remaining billing period.

Switching to Annual Billing

  1. Go to Account > Subscription > View Plans
  2. Switch the toggle at the top to Annually
  3. Pick your plan and confirm

Moving from monthly to annual takes effect immediately: you are invoiced the difference for the rest of the current period, and billing runs yearly from then on.

Going the other way — annual to monthly — waits for the year you already paid for to finish. You paid for that period, so it runs out first, and only then does the subscription become monthly.

Tip: Start with the Free plan to explore Slotsy. Upgrade when you need more bookings, a second staff member, or the dashboard analytics, digital products and booking page design that come with the paid plans.

Managing Billing

Slotsy uses Stripe for all billing and payment processing. To manage your billing:

  1. Go to Account > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. The Stripe Customer Portal opens in a new tab

In the Stripe Portal, you can:

  • Update payment method — add or change your credit card
  • View invoices — download past invoices as PDF
  • Update billing address — for invoice accuracy

Tip: Your plan and billing period are changed in the admin panel, under Plans — not in the Stripe Portal. That way your limits and features move together with the billing.

Viewing Payment History

  1. Go to Account > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Portal
  3. Navigate to the Invoices section
  4. View and download invoices for all past payments

Each invoice includes the plan name, billing period, amount, and payment status.

Downgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Account > Subscription > View Plans
  2. Select a lower-tier plan
  3. Review the confirmation dialog, which shows:
    • Your current plan remains active until the displayed date
    • Cost of the new plan
    • Feature loss warnings if your current usage exceeds the new plan's limits (e.g., too many staff or locations)
  4. Click Confirm to proceed

A downgrade does not take effect straight away. You have already paid for the current period, so the plan you paid for keeps running — with all of its limits — until that period ends. The new plan starts the day after.

While the change is pending, the subscription page shows an amber bar naming the new plan and the date it starts, with a Cancel scheduled change link beside it. That link cancels the switch, not the subscription: you stay on your current plan exactly as you were.

Tip: If warnings appear about exceeding limits, consider removing extra staff or locations before the switch takes effect.

Cancelling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Account > Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. The confirmation dialog shows the exact date until which your subscription remains active
  4. Optionally enter a cancellation reason
  5. Click Cancel Subscription to confirm

After cancellation:

  • A success banner confirms the cancellation with the end date
  • Your plan remains active until the displayed date
  • At the end of the period, your account moves to the Free plan

To reactivate a cancelled subscription, click Reactivate on the subscription page. A success banner confirms the reactivation.

When a Subscription Ends

Your account is never locked. Whether a trial ran out, a payment failed, or you cancelled, the account moves to the Free plan and keeps working:

What happens
Your dataNothing is deleted — your data lives as long as the account does. Deletion only happens if you ask for it (Account → settings), and then after 30 days
Staff and locations above the Free limitStay active and keep working — you simply cannot add new ones until you choose a plan
Booking pageKeeps taking bookings
Booking limit40 per month; if you were a paying customer, it does not apply until the end of the following month
Booking page designStays live exactly as you set it up; the editor becomes read-only
Digital productsKeep selling to your customers; you cannot add or edit them
Dashboard analyticsLocked, with the plan usage card still visible

You get an email when the account moves to Free, and another three days before the booking limit starts applying.

Tip: Choosing a plan lifts every limit immediately — there is nothing to restore.

If a Change Doesn't Go Through

Sometimes a plan change cannot be carried out — the payment provider refused, or that particular plan is not yet set up for the billing period you picked. You will see a red message with the reason, and your plan and billing stay exactly as they were. There is nothing to undo: nothing happened.
