A brand-new account has nothing in it, so there is nothing to look at and nothing to test. Slotsy can fill it with a worked example — services, customers and bookings for the week ahead — and take it all back out when you are done.
Adding the example
On your first visit the dashboard offers two ways forward:

The offer is only made while the account is empty. Once you have created a service of your own, Slotsy stops asking — an account you have started to rely on should never be filled with invented customers.

The working hours matter most: without them your public booking page has no free slots to show, whatever else is in the account.
Everything is booked onto you as the owner. The example never adds a staff member, so it cannot push your plan over its limit — and its bookings do not count towards your monthly allowance.
Tip: Open your booking page while the example is in place and book an appointment on it yourself. That is the fastest way to see exactly what your customers will see.
While the example is there
A band across the top of every page says This is example data. It has no close button on purpose: the customers in your list are invented, and the same list is what your public page offers to real people.
Nothing is ever sent to an example customer — no email, no SMS — however you change their bookings.
Removing it
Click Remove it in the band and confirm. Services, customers, bookings and the membership all go at once.
Your working hours stay. They are your settings, not part of the example, and your booking page needs them.
Once removed, the offer does not return — you can build the account up yourself from the setup checklist.
Tip: Remove the example before you share your booking link. Until you do, anyone opening it sees the example services and can book one.
