Solo Business Mode

Simplified mode for single-staff businesses — your customers skip the staff selection step and book directly with you.

What Is Solo Business Mode?

Solo Business Mode is designed for freelancers, solo practitioners, and one-person shops. When enabled, it removes the "choose a staff member" step from the customer booking flow.

Instead of selecting a staff member, customers go straight from choosing a service to picking a time slot. This creates a faster, simpler booking experience.

Enabling Solo Mode

  1. Go to Settings > Solo Business
  2. Toggle Solo Business Mode to on
  3. Click Save

When solo mode is active, the company owner is automatically treated as the only staff member providing all services.

How It Works

With solo mode enabled, the customer booking flow changes:

All bookings are automatically assigned to the company owner. Your availability is determined by your company hours and any personal schedule overrides.

When to Use Solo Mode

Solo mode is ideal when:

  • You are the only person providing services
  • You are a freelancer or independent contractor
  • You run a one-person shop (solo barber, personal trainer, tutor)
  • You don't plan to add staff members

Tip: Solo mode keeps the booking experience simple for your customers. If you're the only one working, there's no reason to ask customers to "choose a staff member."

Switching Back to Multi-Staff Mode

If your business grows and you hire staff:

  1. Go to Settings > Solo Business
  2. Toggle Solo Business Mode to off
  3. Click Save

After disabling solo mode:

  • The staff selection step reappears in the booking flow
  • You can add new staff members in Staff > + Add Staff
  • Existing bookings remain assigned to you
  • New bookings require customers to select a staff member

Tip: Before switching to multi-staff mode, add your staff members and assign them services. This ensures customers have someone to choose when the staff selection step appears.
