Organize your company under the right industry categories so customers can find you in the marketplace.

What Are Business Categories?

Business categories are a two-level system:

  • Industry Group — broad industry (e.g., Beauty & Wellness, Health & Medical)
  • Category — specific business type (e.g., Hair Salon, Barbershop, Dental Clinic)

Your company can be assigned to multiple categories, with one marked as primary.

How to Assign Categories

  1. Go to Settings → Company Info
  2. Find the Business Categories section
  3. Select one or more categories from the dropdown
  4. Mark one category as Primary — this is shown first in search results
  5. Click Save

Tip: Choose the most specific category that matches your business. For example, select "Hair Salon" instead of just "Beauty & Wellness".

How Categories Appear

  • Marketplace — customers filter businesses by category
  • Search Results — primary category shown as a badge
  • Company Profile — all assigned categories listed

Rules

  • You can only select leaf categories (e.g., "Hair Salon"), not industry groups (e.g., "Beauty & Wellness")
  • One category must be marked as primary
  • Categories are managed by platform administrators
