Service Categories

Updated September 19, 2026

Categories group your services. On your company page the price list is split into sections — "Hair · 6 services", "Nails · 4 services" — collapsed, so a long list stays readable. Customers can also filter services by category.

Tip: Sections appear once you have more than six services and at least two categories. A shorter price list stays a plain list, which reads faster.

What Is a Category?

A category is a label with a name and a color that you attach to services. A service can carry several categories; the first one decides its section on the page — the one higher in your category list.

Example categories for a beauty salon:

CategoryColorServices
HairBlueHaircut, Coloring, Blowout
NailsPinkManicure, Pedicure, Gel Nails
MassageGreenFull Body, Back & Shoulders, Head
VIPGoldLuxury Facial, Premium Package

Creating a Category

  1. Go to Services > Categories
  2. Click + New Category
  3. Enter a category name (e.g., "Hair")
  4. Choose a color from the palette
  5. Click Save

Tip: Keep category names short and clear. Customers will see them as filter buttons on your booking page.

Assigning Categories to Services

There are two ways to assign categories:

From the category page:

  1. Open a category
  2. Check the services that belong to this category
  3. Click Save

From the service page:

  1. Open a service
  2. Go to the Categories tab
  3. Select one or more categories
  4. Click Save

A service can have as many categories as needed. For example, a "VIP Manicure" service could have both the "Nails" and "VIP" categories.

How Categories Appear to Customers

On the company page the price list is split into sections: "Hair · 6 services", "Nails · 4 services". The sections are collapsed and only the first is open, so a customer sees the whole shape of your offer at once and opens what they came for. Sections follow the order of your category list, and services with no category come last, under "Other services".

Sections appear only when there are more than six services and more than one category. Otherwise the price list stays a plain list.

On the booking page, categories display as filter buttons at the top of the service list. Customers click a category to filter, select multiple categories to narrow results, or click again to deselect. When no categories are selected, all services are visible.

Editing a Category

  1. Go to Services > Categories
  2. Click on the category you want to edit
  3. Change the name or color
  4. Click Save

Changes apply immediately — the category updates across all services that use it.

Deleting a Category

  1. Go to Services > Categories
  2. Click on the category
  3. Click Delete Category
  4. Confirm the action

Deleting a category removes it from all services. The services themselves are not affected — only the link goes, and they move to the "Other services" section.
