A booking page instead of a website: what a salon needs
On 7 October 2026 I checked in our code when Google is allowed to index a studio's page in Slotsy. Owners of studios without a website ask exactly this: "will people find me?". The answer is a rule of three conditions that I set on 25 September 2026: the page goes to Google only when it has enough on it. On the same day I opened Wix's price list (pl.wix.com) and a .pl domain price at OVH to see what the alternative costs.
Short answer. In Slotsy every studio gets its own page at slotsy.io/place/your-name: services with prices, staff, gallery, opening hours, locations, reviews and online booking, in Polish, Ukrainian and English, for 0 zł for one person. Slotsy lets Google index the page when three conditions are met: opening hours, a visible phone or website, and at least one of: a description of 300+ characters, a photo in the gallery, or a published review (this applies to studios that registered, not imported ones). A website on Wix costs from 52.53 zł net per month on a yearly plan (Light), plus a .pl domain: 16.69 zł net the first year and 58.99 zł net per year after (OVH); prices checked 7.10.2026. The Slotsy page does not give you your own domain, a blog or pages of your own design.
If clients find you today through Instagram, a Google profile or by phone: create a Free account in Slotsy, fill in your hours, phone and description, add one photo and send the link today. The Free plan costs 0 zł for one person, needs no card and works alongside what you use now.
What is on the studio page
A client sees prices, photos and free hours on the page before writing to you. The address is slotsy.io/place/your-name; the ending is generated from the company name at registration and you can change it in Company → Company Info. Changing it changes the link, and old links stop leading to you, so clients will need the new one.
The page shows the company name, logo, description, address, phone and email, and the sections Services, Providers, Gallery, Prices, Locations, Schedule (opening hours) and Reviews. If you have passes or digital products, a Products section appears too. There is also an About section. The page works in Polish, Ukrainian and English.
In Page Design (Company → Page Design), on every plan including Free, the owner sets:
- the hero layout: Full Cover, Split, Minimal or Gradient;
- title and subtitle, brand colours (primary, secondary, accent) and a Light or Dark theme;
- a cover image (JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB) with overlay opacity;
- Sections Order & Visibility: drag sections, hide the ones you do not need and rename them in the menu, for example "Providers" to "Our stylists";
- About Section: title, text and photo.
Gallery (Company → Gallery) takes JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB. The categories are General, Interior, Our work, Team and Before & After; clients filter photos by category, and you reorder them by dragging. Clients write reviews on the studio page; you publish or hide each one and can reply.
The page also tells Google in a machine-readable form what the business is, where, and when it is open.
In Company Info → Visibility there is a "Show in the catalogue and search" switch (on by default): the studio appears in the Slotsy catalogue and on the map. The booking link works whatever the setting. While you set up, you can keep it off and turn it on when services and hours are ready. Catalogue visibility.
When Google indexes the page
Three conditions decide whether someone searching your salon's name in Google can land on your booking page. All three are needed at once:
- opening hours are set;
- there is a way to reach you: a phone that is not hidden on the booking page, or a website filled in;
- there is something to read or see: a description of at least 300 characters, or at least one photo in the Gallery, or at least one published review.
| Condition | Where | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Opening hours | Schedules → Company Hours, or the "When do you work?" card on the dashboard | |
| Visible phone or a website | Company → Company Info: Phone / Website; Privacy Settings → "Hide phone number" off | one of the two is enough |
| Description of 300+ characters | Company → Company Info: Description | the About section does not count |
| …or a photo, or a published review | Company → Gallery; Reviews | one is enough |
The 300 characters count the Description field in Company Info. The text of the About section in Page Design does not count toward that number.
Until the conditions are met, the page still works for anyone with the link. It carries noindex and is not in the sitemap. How this fits with a Google profile: Google Business Profile for a salon; how to put the link on Instagram and Google: booking link on Instagram, Facebook and Google.
What a website costs
On 7 October 2026 I checked Wix's price list at pl.wix.com/pricing. The prices are for yearly plans paid upfront, net of taxes, and three plans are shown with a 50% promotion.
| Plan | Price per month | Regular price | Accepting payments |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 52.53 zł | no promotion shown | not listed |
| Core | 46.90 zł with 50% off | 93.81 zł | yes |
| Business | 63.79 zł with 50% off | 127.59 zł | yes |
All three plans include a free domain for 1 year. The promotion price is temporary; after it you pay the regular price. VAT is added to all amounts.
A .pl domain at OVH (ovhcloud.com/pl, 7.10.2026): 16.69 zł net the first year (20.53 zł gross), renewal 58.99 zł net per year (72.56 zł gross).
The first-year arithmetic for Light: 52.53 zł × 12 = 630.36 zł net, plus the domain at 16.69 zł net in the first year, 647.05 zł net in total. From the second year the domain adds 58.99 zł net per year.
| Slotsy studio page | Website (e.g. Wix) | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | 0 zł for one person | from 52.53 zł net/month (Light, yearly) + domain after the first year 58.99 zł net/year |
| Address | slotsy.io/place/your-name | your own domain |
| Online booking | built in | depends on plan and setup |
| Languages | PL, UK, EN | as many as you build |
| Content | fixed sections: services, prices, staff, gallery, hours, locations, reviews, About | any pages, blog |
| indexed when hours, contact and description, photo or review are filled | depends on your SEO |
When a website is still worth it
A website gives three things the Slotsy page does not:
- your own domain (for example salon-anna.pl) and email on it; the Slotsy page is at slotsy.io/place/…, and Slotsy does not connect your own domain;
- a blog and pages of your own design and structure; the Slotsy page has fixed sections you can order, rename and hide;
- full control of SEO texts per page.
So a website is for you if you need your own domain, a blog or pages beyond services, prices and gallery. Otherwise the Slotsy page covers what a client looks for before booking. If you have a website already, you do not have to choose: add the Slotsy booking widget to it, as Inline, Popup or Floating (widget on your site).
How to set it up in 15 minutes
- Company → Company Info: a description of 300+ characters, phone, logo.
- Opening hours: the "When do you work?" card on the dashboard, or Schedules → Company Hours. I described starting from zero in online schedule in 15 minutes.
- Gallery: 3–5 photos, in Our work and Interior. Gallery in the help centre.
- Page Design: layout, colours, cover. Page Design in the help centre.
- Visibility: turn on "Show in the catalogue and search" when services and hours are ready.
- Open the page as a client and send the link.
